About Us

Nobody finds more homes for more kids in need.
Foster Care Network finds more foster children loving homes than any single organization in New York City. That's because we act as one voice for many not-for-profit New York agencies, making certain that as many people as possible hear their message of need throughout the city.

How we came to be.
In 1984 this city was in crises. Substance abuse was destroying family after family, leaving thousands of children in dire need of foster care. The Foster Care Network was formed in response to this need. We began to act on behalf of several agencies at once, enabling them to pool their resources and reach out to as many potential foster parents as possible. In just a few short months, the results were dramatic. Hundreds of foster parents were screened and qualified to accept children of every age and level of care.

How NY agencies come to us.
Any New York-based agency is welcome to join our network. We simply add what they have allocated for home-finding to our total marketing budget, increasing the effectiveness of our efforts on behalf of every agency we represent.

How agencies outside NY come to us.
